We are a competitive community swimming club that enables all our swimmers to participate in and enjoy the sport of swimming. Whatever your ability, we will provide the opportunities throughout the year for you to train and compete, both as an individual and as part of a successful swimming team.
This friendly formula has worked well since the club was formed in October 1991 and with it has come great success. With national, regional and county champions numbered among our membership, our club continues to go from strength to strength. Those national champions also include masters and para-swimmers, and the club is friendly and welcoming to all.
Our professional coaching team works to help all members, whether they be 8 year olds starting their swimming journey, through to adults returning to swimming. The club is focussed on the individual needs of the swimmers, ensuring that they receive the best possible support to reach their full potential and long term development.
Whether you choose to swim for fun and enjoyment, health and fitness or aspire to be a world champion, Havant & Waterlooville Swimming Club is the club for you.

Swim Out Of Your Skin 2018 CANCELLED
HWSC regret to inform you that we have had to cancel our annual Swim Out of Your Skin Meet for 2018. This decision has not been taken lightly and the circumstances are beyond the swimming club’s control. The swimming pool spectator area and some of the changing rooms are in the process of being refurbished. Due to unforeseen sub contractor and product delays the work will not be completed in time for the meet.
There were over 250 swimmers who attending the meet and along with the seating area, some of the poolside is blocked off including a fire exit. This would mean dangerous overcrowding around the pool with the number of swimmers, coaches and officials. Extensive risk assessments have been undertaken by both the pool operator and our internal officer and we have reached the conclusion that it is not possible to safely to run a swim meet of this size with the level of work in it’s current state of completion.
